Clearum™ HS Series High Flux Dialyzers
A high flux dialyzer for toxin filtration during acute or chronic hemodialysis treatment.
The membrane that matters
The Clearum™ HS series high flux dialyzer offers surface areas ranging from 1.3 – 2.2 m2. This hemodialysis filter addresses diffusion with a high-flux membrane to promote blood toxin removal and retention of proteins.1,2,3
Material and structure
The Clearum™ HS dialyzer offers a semi-permeable membrane constructed of Polyethersulfone /Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PES/PVP) materials.4
The design of Clearum™ HS supports performance with these key elements:2,3
- Packing density
- Fiber thickness
- Undulation
- Pore size distribution
- Selected diffusive and water permeability
Hemodialysis
During dialysis treatment, blood flows through the extracorporeal circuit and enters the hollow‑fiber bundle to:4
- Remove highly concentrated toxic substances
- Re‑establish electrolyte balance
- Remove excess plasma water
Clearance and sieving performance
In vitro data shows that the Clearum™ HS membrane:2
- Eliminates smaller toxins
- Contributes to the removal of larger toxins (myoglobulin)
- Preserves nutrients and proteins, like albumin
Handling
- Light-weight polypropylene material5
- Standard connectors in accordance with ISO 8637-14
Safety
- Steam sterilization4
- BPA-free6
- Non-pyrogenic4
