Argyle™* Peritoneal Dialysis Catheters
Optimizing peritoneal dialysis catheter placement and exit sites promotes proper maintenance and reduces potential complications — in ways difficult-to-manage catheters cannot.
The Argyle™* peritoneal dialysis catheter line includes a variety of configurations for body habitus considerations and thoughtful dialysis patient customization.
A variety of catheter configurations
Argyle™* peritoneal dialysis (PD) catheters provide long-term access to the peritoneal cavity for patients to fill and drain their dialysate daily. This repetitive use makes it important to customize the catheter exit site — facilitating optimized patient and caregiver management.
Explore the features and benefits
Argyle™* Tenckhoff Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
A standard peritoneal catheter offering a variety of catheter types, lengths and cuff placements.
Used for short-term and long-term peritoneal dialysis, the Argyle™* Tenckhoff catheter cuff options include:
- One (1) attached cuff — in either subcutaneous or preperitoneal positions
- Two (2) attached cuffs — one subcutaneous and one preperitoneal
Each Tenckhoff catheter comes with an adapter, cap, and clamp. The Ultem™* adapter forms a tight closure with standard CAPD transfer sets.
Also available: The Argyle™* universal Tenckhoff PD catheter can be trimmed to fit most patient sizes.
Argyle™* Curl Cath Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
The Argyle™* curl cath peritoneal catheter offers a curled ending with numerous inflow/outflow diffusion holes.
- A modified Tenckhoff catheter — incorporating an end curl feature
- Suitable for acute or chronic peritoneal dialysis
- Curl cath configuration can be inserted either percutaneously or surgically
Argyle™* Swan Neck Tenckhoff Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
A standard 2-cuff Tenckhoff catheter with a pre-formed angle (swan neck).
Also available in pediatric PD catheter size: 37.5 cm.
Argyle™* Swan Neck Curl Cath Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
The swan neck curl cath design provides added support with a pre-formed angle, combined with a curled mass ending and numerous inflow/outflow dialysate diffusion holes.
Argyle™* Swan Neck Tenckhoff Missouri Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
Offers a pre-formed angle with incorporated silicone bead and felt disk feature — providing an option for internal catheter anchoring and an added subcutaneous exit site plug.
Argyle™* Swan Neck Curl Cath Missouri Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
Provides the combined catheter features:
- A pre-formed angle swan neck
- Curled end with numerous inflow/outflow dialysate diffusion holes
- Silicone bead — positioned just inside the peritoneum
- Felt disc — for suturing to the rectus muscle (just outside the peritoneum)
- Second cuff with subcutaneous tissue placement (near exit site)
Argyle™* Swan Neck Presternal Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
Offers an exit site located on the upper chest wall, instead of at the belt line.
With a presternal (upper) segment tunneled into the subcutaneous tissue of the chest wall, a double-barbed titanium connector bridges the upper segment of the catheter to the intraperitoneal (lower) segment.
- Both the presternal and intraperitoneal segments can be trimmed to custom-fit the patient
- The intraperitoneal segment (a variation of the Missouri catheter) has a pre-formed angle
Argyle™* Oreopoulos-Zellerman Missouri Tenckhoff Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
Offers:
- Straight configuration
- Two silicone discs in the internal catheter segment
- Missouri silicone bead and felt disc (flange) exit site barrier
Available in both straight and swan neck configuration options.
Argyle™* Swan Neck Oreopoulos-Zellerman Missouri Tenckhoff Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
Provides:
- Two silicone discs postioned in the internal catheter segment
- A Missouri configuration incorporating a silicone bead and a felt disc (flange)
- A felt disc and bead (placed on opposite sides of the peritoneum) as an exit site barrier
Also available in a straight configuration (see the Argyle™* Oreopoulos-Zellerman Missouri Tenckhoff Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter).
Argyle™* Moncrief-Popovich Swan Neck Curl Cath Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter
Features the benefits of a swan neck curl cath configuration combined with a larger 2.5 cm subcutaneous cuff.

Safety Information
The Ritus™ tunneling tool kit is used to both create a tunnel tract through subcutaneous tissue and seal the end of the catheter. This allows the external portion of the Covidien™ Argyle™* peritoneal dialysis catheter to be temporarily buried in advance of dialysis for patients that are candidates for delayed peritoneal dialysis treatment. Risks may include peritonitis and exit site infection.
Do not embed the external portion of the catheter in a separate procedure than the catheter implantation. Do not use this product if the patient is not a candidate for delayed peritoneal dialysis treatment or requires immediate peritoneal dialysis treatment. Not for use in pediatric, infant and neonate.
