Procedural approach for central vein stenosis
1. High grade stenosis of the left innominate vein, with pronounced collateral filling
- Ultrasound-guided micropuncture access is achieved
- Initial fistulogram can be performed through the micropuncture sheath
- Advancing the desired 0.035-inch working wire centrally, the micropuncture sheath is removed
- The Chameleon™ PTA balloon catheter is directed to the central lesion
2. Angioplasty performed using the Chameleon™ PTA balloon catheter
- Balloon angioplasty is performed
- The balloon is then deflated and pulled back from the lesion (over the wire, maintaining wire access)
3. Immediate post-angioplasty imaging using the integrated third port confirms proper disruption
- Contrast venography is performed through the Chameleon™ PTA balloon catheter injection port
- Angioplasty results are immediately visualized
